Plain English, as short as we could make it.

In short: we do not collect your figures. Everything you enter stays on your phone. There is no account, no bank login, no tracking and no advertising.
Hadafi is run by Safwan Patel, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@hadafi.co.uk or hadafi.app@gmail.com.
Your pay, spending, savings, debts, goals, zakat figures and settings are saved only in the app's storage on your own device. We never receive them, and we cannot see them.
Because nothing is stored with us, we cannot recover your figures if you lose your phone, delete the app or clear its data. You can keep a copy with More → Backup.
A backup is a file the app creates only when you ask for one. You choose where it goes, for example your phone's files, email or a cloud drive. That file then sits with the service you chose, under its own privacy terms.
If you turn on payday reminders in the Android app, they are scheduled on your phone. No reminder data is sent to us.
If you download Hadafi or subscribe through Google Play, Google handles the download and the payment under Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive your card details. If subscriptions are offered, we only receive confirmation of whether a subscription is active.
The web version of Hadafi is hosted on claude.ai, a service run by Anthropic. Its fonts load from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services receive basic technical details such as your IP address when the page loads, under their own privacy policies. Your figures are still saved only in your own browser.
Our website, hadafi.co.uk, is hosted by Cloudflare and its fonts load from Google Fonts. It has no forms, cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, these services receive basic technical details such as your IP address when the page loads, under their own privacy policies. Emails sent to hello@hadafi.co.uk pass through Cloudflare's email forwarding to our inbox.
If you email us or send feedback, we keep your message and contact details only to reply and to improve Hadafi, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. We never share them.
Hadafi is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. As we do not collect your figures, in most cases we hold nothing. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.

In short: Hadafi gives information and does sums on the figures you enter. It does not give financial advice, and it cannot tell you whether a product is halal.
By using Hadafi you agree to these terms. Hadafi is provided by Safwan Patel (“we”, “us”).
Hadafi is an information and calculation tool. Nothing in it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any product. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to give advice. Before making a financial decision, many people speak to a regulated financial adviser. Free, impartial guidance is available from MoneyHelper.
Whether a particular product, investment or arrangement is halal is a question for a qualified scholar. Hadafi does not give religious rulings. The zakat calculator follows commonly described methods; scholars differ on some details, so please check with a scholar you trust.
Results depend entirely on the figures you enter. Dates, amounts and projections are estimates, not promises. Projections of growth use the rate you choose and are not a forecast.
Fund returns, savings rates and platform fees come from public sources and show the date they were checked. They may be out of date or contain errors, and they can change at any time. Past performance does not predict future returns. Investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in.
Hadafi may be offered with a free trial, followed by a subscription. Any price is shown in Google Play before you subscribe. Subscriptions are handled by Google Play, renew automatically until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time in your Google Play subscriptions. Refunds follow Google Play's policies and your legal rights. Cancelling stops future payments; the app keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your figures are stored only on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for making backups. We cannot recover lost figures.
We work hard to keep Hadafi accurate and working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss arising from decisions you make using Hadafi. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Please do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer Hadafi, or use it for anything unlawful. The Hadafi name, logo and content belong to us.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Hadafi after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.

In short: every figure comes from the provider's own published information. We check them once a month and show the date. No provider pays us, and we earn no commission.
From each fund provider's own factsheet (iShares, HSBC, Invesco and Wahed). Returns are after the fund's own fees. We convert them from dollars to pounds using published daily exchange rates (Pound Sterling Live). The chart shows the date the figures run to.
Month-end prices from public market data (Yahoo Finance), checked against a second source (Coinbase).
From each bank's own website (Al Rayan Bank, Gatehouse Bank and Bank of London and The Middle East), or from Raisin UK for accounts that are opened through Raisin (QIB UK, Kuwait Finance House and Al Rayan Bank). We include every provider we know of that offers halal savings to UK savers, and show the five highest rates of each type.
From each platform's own charges page.
From GOV.UK.
From MSCI index factsheets, NYU Stern (Professor Damodaran's historical returns), the UBS Global Investment Returns Yearbook and S&P Dow Jones Indices (SPIVA).
By the facts alone: rate, return or fee. No provider pays to be listed or placed higher, and we earn nothing if you open an account. Comparison websites are used only to check that we have not missed a provider; we never copy their figures.
We keep a record of every figure, where it came from and the date we checked it.
Rates can change at any time. If a figure looks wrong, please email hadafi.app@gmail.com and we will check it.
